Friday: (I slept in untill 1:30!!! I LOVE VACATION!!!) Well the computer was still down and tommorow is G-ma's 84th B-day! So Dad and I set out to get her a gift with perfect "guy last minute gift timing". G-ma has some old photo's of her dad as a WWI German pilot but has no idea what planes they are so we went to B&N and got her a book on WWI plane with pictures so she could find out. That and we know she loves board games so we got her a set of Cranium. After that I treated to some Marble Slab which was quite scumtious indeed! Then we travled to the good old Celebration Station (which is like a Malibu Grand Pre,can't....spell!) to play a traditional game of father/son Putt Putt mini golf! And I don't usually like to put it this way but there is no getting around this time, my dad DESTROYED me this time! I have won in the past but Dad beat the coarse par by like 8 I think and I was way over. It was somthing like 54 to 41 and the par was 49...truly sad on my part. But lots of fun none-the-less. After that we headed home and enjoyed the rest of the night watching the Sci-Fi channel as a family. We're a cooky bunch, but we're fun!

Saturday: Today was big for 2 reasons 1.the LaRose family reunion and 2. It's G-ma's 84'th B-day! So we headed over to New Orleans where the reunion was at about 8 or 9 since the thing started at noon. We got to Uncle Ken's, who seemed to be in better spirits then the other day, and all got together to head over. It was Mom, Dad, Ken, Barbra(his wife), Grandmother, Mathew(Ken's son and my cousin), and Lulu(a woman living with Grandmother to keep her company, she's a really sweet old lady). Everyone kept on saying I look so so much like Mathew (who is 32 tommorow, a preatty cool guy, and not at all in your face about being gay) I had never really gottena chance to hang out and really talk to Mathew untill today and I'm really glad I did because I guess I sorta steriotyped and avoided him when I was younger but not that I can just look past that he really cool guy after all. The reunion was a success and it was good to see all the different sides of this rather small family (probly 27 people at the party) It wasn't boring since I had either Mathew or my family talk talk to when I didn't feel like "mingling". We all took a big group shot and Mathew and I got some pictures taken of us right next to each other from different angles since I still don't see the resemblence that much. When we got home I tried again and failed to fix G-ma's computer so I'm using Aunt Linnie and Uncle Mark's computer to do this. We did G-ma's Birthday time and it was real nice she liked her gift and was glad we were here for the big day! Now I'm gunna pack my stuff cuz I'm leaving for S.A. at 8am tommorow (OUCH!) so I'll be home around 4:30.

See ya soon!

Well sorry for the delay but the computer at my G-ma's house went out so I havent had a chance to update, so its time for a little catch up!

Wednesday: Mom, Dad, and I all went to go see War of the Worlds together. Dad hasn't been to the movies since this time last summer and mom hasn't been since LotR: Two Towers lol! But I don't care what everybody is saying about "the ending sucked!" thats the way it always ended! My parents really loved it and it actually scared my dad! So we all had a good time. On the way back from the theater we picked up some dinner and guess what happened...the vans A/C went out. And man did it get hot, but the wasn't the worst part about it. The point that the AC goes out all the time and cost lots of $ to fix each time is just frustrating. So anyways we ate dinner and played like 7 rounds of Scatergories (I won ) which was cool.

Thursday: Well we didn't go to New Orleans wed. cuz of the van but Thursday we headed out first thing. It's like a little over an hour drive each way. We stopped in at my Uncle Kenneth's(my dad's brother) house (for whom I am named after) to see him. Ken has been in the hospital for the last week though because of heart problems and he was still a little weak when we saw him. Ken is normaly quite...how should I put this...loud in his opinions of other races. Then we dropped into my Grandmother's home to visit her. she seemed to be in fine spirits. And after that we were off to visit one of my dads old but close friends for lunch. We met at a joint call Bozo's which sounds like a very silly name for a reseraunt but aparently was quite popular due to good food. But I'll probly never know since it was closed and we had to eat elsewhere. I had a shrimp po boy and it was really good. Dad and his friend caught up for about 2 hours and then we left. We visited my Paw Paw grave shortly which I had never been to. Then we went down town to ride the New Orleans street car which is Uncle so flavorfully put "is only for peons". And it was kinda cool seeing all the old mansions and really only plantation style homes in New Orleans. Finally we headed on home to Baton Rouge and picked up the van on the way back, it now blows icicles. Around 8:15 Dana picked me up and we went over to her house to watch a movie and I got home around 11:30 to finaly go to bed...

Fridays episode tonight...

This morning me and dad got up early to do one of our little Baton Rouge traditions, we washed the van! lol it might not sound that exciting but its gotten to be preatty cool due to the tradition/ bonding time thing. We finished in about 3 and a half hours...phew! Then we ate lunch, took a 2 hour nap and went to go see Batman Begins. when we got back we had dinner and played cards again. I got kinda frustrated with my mom but these things happen and I'm sure I'll get over it by tommorow (I never seem to be able hold grudges easily). That all for today, tommorow I'm going over to New Orleans though and I should see my Uncle which has never failed to be....entertaining.

Till then!

This mornig ww went down town to go visit Mr. McGee and Dana at their work and have lunch with them. But due to a miscomunication we ended up just seeing the office, hanging out for a bit, and then going for lunch alone. We ate at this really cool little place called "Poor Boy Loyd's". It was really funny cuz the guy who took your order was a classic old black jazz playing cajun guy who I couldn't even understand through his accent lol! But the poor boys were great!(btw if you haven't heard it called that a poor boy is a kind of sandwich, sorta like a sub) Dad ran into like 5 people he used to work with when we lived here and that was really cool for him. We went to go see the bank were he used to work at since it was just down the street. They were celebrating that Chase Bank had takin over the building so they had free Jumbalia (mmm yummy) and a free scatch off game for a possible $100,000! so we were all "Heck yes!" and we did it but I just won a hat, oh well freebies still rock. after that we drove home to get movie times and ended up seeing StarWars III since dad still hadn't seen it(I still can't believe that this was my fourth time seeing it). Then we came home and Mom, Dad, G-Ma, and I played this easy and fun card game called Kings in the Corner. G-ma used her Card Lady skills to beat us all down but It was lots of fun.

ok, c ya!
